Termites – outside human dwellings and offices, they are heroes and major actors in maintaining the balance in our ecosystem. By feeding on rotten materials such as dead plants and trees, these insects help in the decomposition process, and serve as soldiers of Mother Nature. They’ve been dedicated to doing these tasks as early as the dinosaur’s era or 250 million years, clearly preceding human existence. In their own right, termites can be considered as survivors; they have been able to adapt to the world’s ever-changing milieu because of their effective colonies.
